Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca (WAC) returns home with valuable away draw from Guinea while playing Horoya Conakry (HAC).

The locals couldn’t make home advantage count as they were held to a goalless draw by Wydad Casablanca in the first leg of their CAF Champions League quarter-final encounter played at the National Stadium in Conakry on Saturday.

Wydad Casablanca managed to contain Horoya AC throughout the game with a remarkable defensive organization and coaching of Tunisian manager Faouzi Benzarti.

Wydad Casablanca had a good ending of the game when Mohammed Nahiri’s free-kick almost led to a winning goal, and that took Horoya’s Senegalese goalkeeper a great save to keep chances equal before the decisive return game in Morocco.

The return game will be played at Moulay Abdallah Stadium in Rabat next Saturday afternoon.
