The prefectural police department of Meknes arrested, on the evening of August 9th, an individual with a criminal record who was the subject of a national search warrant for double homicide associated with theft.

According to the Directorate General of National Security (DGSN), the suspect, aged 22, was arrested in Meknes based on information provided by the services of the Directorate-General for National Territorial Surveillance (DGST). The arrested individual is suspected to be involved in the killing of a couple in Oulad Ben Tayeb around Driouch on July 27th.

The suspect has been placed in custody while the Royal Gendarmerie continues the preliminary investigations under the supervision of the public prosecutor, concludes the DGSN.
